Ingredients and Flavourings

Pure flavours their gels with natural flavourings such as real fruit juices, concentrates and fruit purees, premium New Zealand honey, ground kola nut and real cinnamon, giving them a “real” flavour with no nasty after taste.

PURE Energy Gels are developed in-house in New Zealand, allowing them to carefully test and refine the formulations, making sure that every flavour meets high standards for taste and performance.

When used to fuel exercise, some carbohydrates can cause stomach upsets due to their slower digestion processes. Pure's gut-friendly formulations are designed to be easily digested and to quickly fuel muscles without upsetting your stomach.

Recommended Use

Use 15 minutes prior to activity, then every 30-40 minutes during exercise. Maximum daily intake 10 serves.

Science tells us that consuming 30-60 grams + of carbs per hour (even higher in ultra endurance activities), within a session, will enhance performance. Although it may feel early, this should be started in the very first hour, ideally 10-15 min pre start. We generally suggest 1-2 gels hourly on top of your electrolyte hydration but trial this in training and adjust to suit you.
